Biomedical Research Center Research Institute Updated January 16, 2012
The Biomedical Research Center is a state-of-the-art research facility with over 25,000 square feet of space. This space is divided into two larger laboratories that are open and very flexible. Specialty rooms are also available such as a cold room, warm room, cell culture alcoves, fume hood alcoves and microscopy room. Technology integrated into the space includes high-speed wireless internet.
Basic equipment is provided in the Biomedical Research Center to assist researchers with the start up of their own laboratory space. This equipment includes such items as biological safety hoods, cryopreservation storage, -20 and -80 freezers, refrigerators, ultracentrifuge and microscopes.
Services which may be provided to interested researchers include, consenting, de-identification of data, dishwashing, autoclave services, research billing, statistical support, tissue transfer, translation/language support, cell sorting, study design development, manuscript preparation, grant identification and submission, and educational seminars.
