Mission: Facilitate Carle Foundation Hospital in becoming a world class research institution by 2012.

Goals:

Increase quantity and quality of translational, nursing, resident and other research studies conducted at Carle to enhance treatment and satisfaction of patients.

Develop a stronger research relationship with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Receive NIH and other Federal grants by 2010.

Obtain 85% of research expenses from outside funding by 2012.
