A Note from the Resident Research Coordinator Welcome to the Foundation Research Office Residency Program Research site! The Foundation Research Office (FRO) is excited about the many research and scholarly activity opportunities available for residents, fellows and faculty at Carle Foundation Hospital. Many of the opportunities are program specific (see Residency Program Links below) while others are available in all residency programs. For instance, all residents have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty and other Carle physicians on existing research studies or develop a new study with their faculty and advisors. FRO is available to help residents, faculty and advisors facilitate their research projects. In order to request resources, complete the form below found under Requesting Resources from the Foundation Research Office, (note this form must be completed before you begin the Institutional Review Board [IRB} process). Important Notice: Internal Medicine Residents are required to secure UIUC IRB approval as well as Carle IRB approval for research studies and should seek UIUC IRB approval first. As of April 2008, the Carle IRB will accept the UIUC IRB application form in place of the Carle IRB application form. All other Carle IRB documents are still required.
