Tissue for Test Dev Tissue Repos Request

Periodic surveys to researchers will be mailed out to assess tissue banking needs of the research community at Carle Foundation Hospital (CFH).

The decision to start collecting certain types of tumor and not others will be driven by several factors:

§         Likelihood of tissue being used for research in the future at CFH;

§         Existing external funding that will support tissue banking;

§         Priorities of the CFH;

§         Availability of sub-specialist to support banking efforts.

After the surveys are completed and results compiled, the Tissue Repository Manager will present the data to the Vice President of Research for decisions on which types of materials to collect.

The Tissue Repository will be in part funded by CFH and therefore, projects not directly run by a Carle Investigator will only be accommodated if tissue and personnel resources permit.
