Mission: Facilitate Carle Foundation Hospital in becoming a world class research institution by 2012.

 

Goals:

 

  1. The Carle Tissue Repository will support studies that involve:

    a) developing and validating new diagnostic or prognostic markers;

    b) determining the biologic role of diagnostic or prognostic markers; or

    c) other requests that support any promising cancer and non-cancer research projects
     

  2. Develop a stronger research relationship with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
     
  3. The Carle Tissue Repository will strive to be 50% self-sufficient by 2012.

Patients are urged to check with their carriers as to whether services are covered for either or both organizations.
