  Tissue Repos Request

The Tissue Repository will institute a “Short Form” application process by which an investigator can obtain a few specimens for test development, quality control, or preliminary research. It is expected that these specimens will be used for optimization of research protocols. There will be no annotating data provided with these tissue sections, but IRB approval is still necessary before tissues are delivered. It is expected that most IRB protocols for this purpose will either be exempt or expedited. There will be no charge for these specimens, however, as a rule, only 3 to 5 specimens will be available through this mechanism.

It is expected that if the investigator obtains positive results, he or she will formally apply for additional specimens through the standard application process.
